Whole of life insurance is different to term life insurance which provides insurance for a fixed number of years. Only whole of life insurance policies are being considered for these claims.

  • Yes. Anyone who has surrendered a whole life insurance policy because of unexpected, uneconomical premiums can bring a claim. Additionally, a would be beneficiary, executor or personal representative of a policyholder can also bring a claim, for example if the policyholder is deceased.

  • This is a 'no win, no fee' claim. "No win, no fee" means just that; you will not have to pay for any costs or fees unless you win. We absorb any initial costs and then take our fees as a fixed percentage following any settlement or judgment.

  • WLI Claims is prepared to consider pursuing individual claims on behalf of clients.

  • We have already identified a number of insurance companies we believe are answerable for wrongdoing and will consider claims against any additional insurer based on your circumstances.

  • As legal processes can take time, we cannot be specific. But we will process your claim as quickly as we can.

  • Yes – an interested party can claim on behalf of a policyholder affected by loss of their whole life cover, whether they are living or deceased (also see our answer to the question above about whether all policy holders can bring a claim).

  • Once you've made initial contact, we will get back to you and let you know what basic information we need. This will include, if possible, the policy number, name of insurance company and roughly when the policy was issued and surrendered.

    Ultimately, the more information you are able to provide, the better. Don’t worry though, we will guide you through the process and we can even approach the insurer on your behalf to ask them to provide information should we need to.

    If you are happy with the process and we think you have a valid claim, we will then send you a client contract and start the claim process on your behalf.
